Ever since I can remember, I have been an extremely decisive person. I make a decision and stick to it, at least until something better or more persuasive comes along to change my opinion. Unfortunately, perhaps, I am also very open-minded and listen to almost anyone's suggestions. For example, when I was twelve, I decided that I needed to be a judge because there wasn't enough justice in the world, due to unbelievable bias and corruption within the legal system. My father then told me that I would need to be a lawyer, prior to being appointed a judge, to ensure that I knew the law, etc. To me, being a lawyer is sometimes the antithesis of justice being served, as a lawyer may have to represent a guilty party, to the best of his or her ability. Also, that a lawyer is paid exorbitant amounts for merely being more knowledgeable and manipulative than the common person never struck me as an ideal way to earn money. I decided against such a path because I knew that it could never make me happy to have a guilty conscience and that I would not necessarily be appointed to the post that I wanted in the first place.
